About Me

My photo
Atlanta, GA, United States
My interest in sewing began when I was around 9 years old. I remember watching attentively while my mother made school clothes for my sisters and me. As soon as she discarded the scraps, I would begin making dolls clothes. From doll clothes, making a vest or a simple pair of slacks was an easy transition for me. By the time I was in 7th grade, I was taking sewing classes in school and making my own outfits. Along with my mother’s talent for designing and sewing, I picked up a lot of my creativity from both my maternal and paternal grandmothers. I have learned so much from my mothers before me and I continue to sew on a daily-basis creating my own designs, sewing from patterns, and crafting. My Husband and I have a huge art and artifact collection. Some of my creations will have various cultural artforms incorporated. I prefer to use not only materials and textiles from Africa, Mexico, and other parts of the world, but also use a combination of bio-degradable, recycled, and vintage textiles and products in my designs. Each handbag, accessory, and other creations may be similar in style but no two creations are alike.

Holiday Season 2010

It's hard to believe that the holiday season is approaching this quickly, and I'm scrambling to make my gift list combined with a list of supplies needed.  If you sell eco-friendly textiles, craft supplies, vintage items, etc., I would like to check out your site.  I support other small e-businesses and love searching for reasonably priced, unique and specialty items for my designs and crafts.

My website is currently under construction but can be viewed:  http://www.cozzecoutureofatlanta.com/
